Want protection round-the-clock? Your alarm system can be connected to a professional monitoring station that provides 24-hour response if your alarm is activated.
Monitoring connects your burglar alarm digitally to skilled operators in a central monitoring station. From here, activity from your security system is monitored 24 hours a day. If your detectors, window contacts or shock sensors are triggered, the operators determine if the signals sent are genuine or if it’s a false alarm. A confirmed alarm signal will bring police response.
Homeguard Security receives and analyses reports from the monitoring station on a daily basis, ensuring that we have the most up-to-date information on all our monitored systems and can act swiftly if action is needed

How monitoring works
Monitoring is provided by our partner EMCS, the largest independent alarm receiving centre (ARC) in the UK. If your alarm is triggered, a signal is sent directly to the monitoring centre. These are registered within 8 seconds and analysed to determine if the signal has been caused by an intruder or by a fault. If it’s a confirmed intruder, the emergency services (Police or Fire) will be alerted and the progression of an intruder through your house can be tracked. The service will also alert you directly that the alarm has been triggered.
Hazard Detection
If you have hazard detectors integrated into your alarm system, the monitoring station is also able to detect if your heat, smoke, CO2 or flood detector is triggered. If it’s a genuine signal, the emergency services can be called and you’ll be alerted, via the security system app on your phone.
Low battery alerts
In between services from Homeguard’s technicians, if the battery on any part of your security system is malfunctioning or running low, the monitoring station will alert you.
