Our security expert works with you to design your system
Unlike most security companies, Homeguard doesn’t have a sales team working on commission. When you ask us to quote, you’ll be visited by a security expert who knows how design and install an alarm system that’s right for you. If you want security that’s super simple, or whether you want the most high-tech system available, we can produce a design that’s tailored for you, your home and your budget.
Once you have agreed your quote, we’ll fix a date for your system to be installed, usually within 3-4 weeks of acceptance but often we can install sooner in emergencies. Most alarm systems today can be installed wire-free, meaning no disturbance to your home or decoration. Home security systems can usually be installed in a day or less. Your control panel (the heart of your system) will be wired in, often in a cupboard or airing cupboard so it’s accessible but tucked safely out of sight. Your discreet keypad will be set up close to an exit of your choosing. Today, most home owners choose to set and unset their systems via a keyfob, or on their smart phones, meaning you never have to touch your alarm.

Before leaving, our engineer will set up your home alarm so it’s running as you want it. Whether you want to have different codes for different household members or adjust detectors so your pets can roam free. You may want to get alerts on your phone if a door opens while you’re out. You can even view what’s going on inside your hone through your smartphone if you wish. Our alarms come with one year’s maintenance contract included, so you’ll be fully supported during the first 12 months of ownership. After that, if you renew your maintenance contract, you’ll have access to all the benefits of ongoing support
