The Solicitor

Located in a 300-year-old building on a leasehold basis, this firm of solicitors tasked Homeguard with protecting client information with a system that would not compromise the fabric of the building.. We were able to install a wireless system using the cost-effective Digisense line.

Due to the age of the building, the doors and windows do not have modern integral locking features and so we included Glassbreak detectors that will trigger the system if the sound of breaking glass is detected plus Magnetic Door and Window contacts to detect if any of these vulnerable areas are opened. The whole system is linked to 24-hour monitoring which is able to confirm an intruder in less than 10 seconds and alert the police.

The Office Building

Set in a modern office building with shared access from other businesses, Homeguard designed a wireless alarm system that would not create damage and can also move with the company when the lease is up. Each staff member has their own keyfob for simple one-touch setting and unsetting, meaning no-one has to remember individual codes. Sleek iWave detectors provide a high-tech but cost-effective and uncomplicated solution to protecting the office area. The business owner has overall control of the system, which sends alerts to his smart phone if there are activations out of hours. Cameras integrated into the iWave allow him to view images from the office to determine if there is an intrusion and act accordingly, or reset the system if it’s a simple false alarm.

The Expanding Factory

A long-term client wanted to integrate a 5000sq ft extension into their existing security system protecting large factory and office area. Essential to their needs and insurance requirements was a fire system to protect the new office area housing sensitive data, separately to the factory floor, and to restrict access to the office area to certain staff members during working hours.

The LightSYS+ alarm panel allows the operation combines access management for up to 32 doors and eliminates the need to integrate a standalone access solution with an alarm system. BWare Detectors which have anti-masking and anti-cloaking features ensure detectors operate at full capability in all conditions, as the temperatures and air quality on the factory floor fluctuate, while K-Band microwave dramatically reduces false alarms. We’ve also made use of the Industrial LuNAR grade 3 ceiling detector
which detects intruder camouflage attempts and delivers the highest performance level and accurate detection even at the high temperatures common in non-air-conditioned warehouses during the summer. This has been mounted at a height where it offers optimal protection, even if shelves are rearranged or boxes are stacked up.
